Quebec Immigration Programs
Quebec has a special agreement with the Federal government and has sole responsibility in selecting permanent residents in the economic classes to reside in Quebec including:
- Quebec Investor Program
- Quebec Entrepreneur Program
- Regular Skilled Worker Program
- Self-Employed Worker Program and
- Programme de l’ expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program)
These programs have requirements different from their Federal counterparts. The Federal government will issue permanent resident visas to those who are selected by Quebec by way of applications for “Certificat de sélection du Québec” (CSQ) on the basis that they are able to become economically established in Canada and intend to reside in Quebec. The medical examination, security check and criminal check are the responsibility of the Federal government.
Avoid the refusal of your application due to filling of the forms without knowledge of the law. Once an application is refused, a permanent record is created.
